dns - How to check whether I set up my authoritative name servers correctly?

I am trying to run my own authoritative DNS servers for a .com domain name (sorry, can't specify).

I have set everything up on two machines at different hosting providers. Everything looks correct if I look at https://www.iana.org/help/nameserver-requirements .

However when I change the NS records at the domain registrar it reports failure. No specific error is given, just "it failed, fix it, try again".

So my question is -- does anyone know of a tool that checks the IANA requirements and reports any problems? I have found https://www.traficom.fi/en/communications/fi-domains/name-server-test but it reports everything is fine.
