‘php.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Why does that error occur even though I've added PHP to my environment variables?

My environment variable PATH is shown below:

C:Program FilesNVIDIA CorporationPhysXCommon;C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedWindows Live;C:Program FilesPC ............... FilesQTSystem;A:xamppphpphp.exe

I'm using Windows 7.
